What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health system based on the diagnosis and correction of common joint misalignments or restrictions, especially of the spine.

These misalignments or restrictions can cause other health problems, by affecting nerves, muscles, ligaments, joints and potentially organs.

While Chiropractors are generally known for treating the spine, what is less commonly known is that by addressing the spinal problems and in turn the nervous system, chiropractors are in fact treating the whole body.

By treating the body holistically the underlying problem of many conditions can be addressed .

Some of the many conditions that may be helped include sciatica, neck pain, low back pain, headaches, migraines and numerous other health problems.

Chiropractors undertake 5 years of university study to attain their Chiropractic qualifications, and learn about all systems of the body and how they interact with each other.

The main objective of chiropractic adjustments is to remove nervous system interference, so that there is better communication between the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and all the other parts of the body.

By assessing the body as a whole, and correcting any problems found in the structural integrity we may be able to affect a wide range of functional conditions.
